Membership Options

Young Israel of Oak Park offers many different types of membership.

• FULL FAMILY MEMBER - A full family membership costs $950 per year.  After the first year of membership, there is a building fund charge of $300 which is payable in $75 per year installments over the next four years.  Full family membership entitles the family to 2 votes at all membership meetings, 2 High Holiday reserved seats and membership discount rates at all YIOP events.  High Holiday seats for children are $25 per seat.  
• FULL SINGLE MEMBER - A full single membership costs $585 per year.  After the first year of membership, there is a building fund charge of $150 which is payable in $37.50 per year installments over the next four years.  Full single membership entitles you to 1 vote at all membership meetings, 1 High Holiday reserved seat and membership discount rates at all YIOP events. Additional High Holiday seats may be purchased at a discounted rate of $75 per adult and $25 per child.  
• ASSOCIATE FAMILY MEMBER -  An associate family membership costs $572 per year and includes membership discount rates at all YIOP events.  High holiday and voting rights are not included.  High Holiday seats may be purchased at a discounted rate of $75 per adult and $25 per child.  
• ASSOCIATE SINGLE MEMBER -  An associate single membership costs $320 per year and includes membership discount rates at all YIOP events.  High holiday and voting rights are not included.  High Holiday seats may be purchased at a discounted rate of $75 per adult and $25 per child.  
• NEW MEMBERS UNDER 35 YEARS OLD -  We offer a one year discount of $200 for a full family membership for any new member under the age of 35.  After the first year, the price for the membership reverts to the regular full family membership price above.
• CORRESPONDING MEMBER - For members who don't live in our neighborhood but want to show their support for YIOP, there is a corresponding membership of $150  per year which includes all our mailings and emails.
• HABONIM MEMBER - For an additional $450 per year, a membership can be upgraded to Habonim.  Habonim members receive special recognition, free admittance to the annual New Member Melava Malka and free inclusion in our annual Apples and Honey pre-Rosh Hashana fundraiser.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please complete the Membership Application.  All applications are subject to approval by the Rabbi of Young Israel of Oak Park and the Board of Directors. No one will be turned away from membership due to financial hardship.  Please contact the YIOP office  to speak to our treasurer for more details.
